Discover Royal Wellington Golf Course

Since 1908, Royal Wellington Golf Club has occupied the picturesque parklands at Heretaunga. However, the most recent redesign—carried out by Greg Turner and Scott Macpherson—elevated the course to championship level, creating new routing for most of the holes. Today, the charming old-school clubhouse looks out over the renowned 18-hole Heretaunga course and the more easygoing 9-hole Terrace course.
Meandering through beautiful parklands that integrate marshland and natural habitats bordering Te Awakairangi/Hutt River, the course makes use of varied hazards that include streams and a large pond. The undulating greens are excellent throughout, offering a memorable challenge.
On-Site Facilities
Warm and inviting, the Royal Wellington clubhouse serves hearty meals, lighter fare, and both coffees and alcoholic drinks. The historic building takes in sweeping views across the grounds. Practice facilities and a golf shop are also found on site.
